The Laotian Community Center is the core center of the community, and centerpiece for generation to come. The center is also part of focal point of the Northeast Asian American communities. The LCC had proposed a facility to permanent house Laotian Art and Cultural Artifacts in 2000 in order to enhance the children learning, social progress, to promote the human community well-being and cultural heritage. In 1995 and 2000, the Laotian community had bought 22 acres of land to construction a new home for the Laotian Cultural Center and Museum. The permanent facility can be exhibited each civilization artifacts, celebrated, pass on to a new generations and shared in a spirit of appreciation with our non-Asian neighbors.

The initial planning for the facility is to foster community development through community activities, sport fitness, social programs, cultural exchange and education programs to enhance and strength children's learning and community understanding. The Laotian Community Center and Asian American communities will truly have facility of their own to serve the needs of the communities and other organizations in the Northeast area.

The location and dimension of the building will be 20,000 sq. ft. the following: with total cost of the construction between $3.7-$4.7 million, including: site, gymnasium, stage, classrooms, music room, art room, food prep, senior center, children learning center, library, common room, conference, office, gift shop, and museum (exhibition spaces). The proposed center will be constructed in the multiple phases as we continue to receive the donations. We feel that it is our obligation to acquire a facility for a generation to come.

Therefore, we are launching a nationwide capital campaign for construction fundraising as of June 2006 and officially opening on October 28, 2006. We are earnestly soliciting your assistance at this time. Your financial support is vital to the successful completion of this Arts & Cultural Center , which will be a lasting reminder of your generosity, and will be gratefully remembered for generations to come. We are inviting each of you to share in the realization of this project and participate in every aspect that this facility has to offer.
