LCC Mission

The Laotian Community Center is dedicated to promoting and strengthening Laotian life and values through its programs and services to individuals, groups, and families.

To support the community development and strength the children's priority needs through art and culture.

To promote pride and knowledge of the history, and cultural heritage; offer counseling, social support, strength and hopes.

To advocate for the children's priority, to encourage, and to inspirit our community and children to become a productive citizen in society.

The Laotian Community Center operates the facilities with the Watlao Buddhovath in Smithfield in an area of art, summer outdoor fitness (volleyball and Tae Kataw), math tutoring, scholarship search, primary Lao language, classical & tradition dance as well as arts, culture and home to cross-diversity festival during the month of July and September. It encourages the new generations to understand and express the meaning of belonging to the Laotian community and their relationship to the outide environment..

The Laotian Community Center serves as a common meeting ground for all Laotian American, Asian American, and non-Asian, respecting diversity of thinking and expression. In keeping with its culture values, the LCC is committed to enhancing the general welfare of the community development.

LCC Vision Statement

The LCC will develop, promote, and maintain a community development that strengthens and celebrates the Providence and Greater Northeast community by:

Supporting youth education and learning.
Promoting cultural preservation.
Striving to provide social services and community awareness.
Maintaining a healthy community through education, arts, music and extracurricular activities, are the process for developing and integrating the healthy community.
Outreaching with the mutually beneficial partnerships with other organizations and institutions.
