Our Community
Welcome to our community center - a place where community and children can nurture from the center through art, education and culture. Our community is a warm and welcoming place where you can meet people in familiar culture, Is a place to experience the cross-culture different through the learning, volunteering and engaging in the activities. Adults also need a place to celebrate their culture, and to continue the difficult process of learning the new demands of the American way of life. Serve as a place for community outreach, as a center for family counseling and health education, and as a resource center for learning and center focal point for all Asian American and non-Asian. Get out and promote the physical fitness, or celebrate the Lao holidays .a place where you are part of a community. Our community is the Laotian Community Center of Greater Providence. (LCC) The Laotian Community Center of RI, Inc. LCC is a non-profit organization, which founded in 2000. It was founded in 1997 and has evolved into an organization that supported the community development and youth programs. It is a proudly organization that reaches out to all people. The Laotian Community Center operates the facilities with the Watlao Buddhovath in Smithfield in an area of art, fitness (Volleyball and Tae Katraw), math tutoring, scholarship search, primary Lao language, classical & tradition dance as well as arts, culture and home to cross-diversity festival during the month of July and September. The Laotian Community Center serves as a common meeting ground for all Laotian American, Asian American, and non-Asian, respecting diversity of thinking and expression. In keeping with its culture values, the LCC is committed to enhancing the general welfare of the community development. |
