Organization Profile
The Laotian Community Center of Rhode Island (LCC) is a non-profit organization based in Smithfield whose primary mission is to promote and strengthen Laotian life and values through its programs and services to individuals, groups, and families.
The Laotian Community Center of Rhode Island was founded in 1997 and has evolved into an organization that supports the community development and youth programs. It is a proud organization that reaches out to all people. The Laotian Community Center operates the facilities with the WatLao Buddhovath in Smithfield in an area of art, fitness (volleyball and Tae Kataw), math tutoring, scholarship search, primary Lao language, classical and traditional dances. It is home to Southeast Asian festivals during the month of July and September.
